Reba McEntire Starring In ‘Fried Green Tomatoes’ Spinoff Series

It looks like we’ll have to wait awhile for a reboot of Reba McEntire’s sitcom, Reba. The country queen is set to produce AND star in a Fried Green Tomatoes spinoff series on NBC!
Norman Lear, who produced the original movie in 1991, will be the spinoff series’ executive producer. Reba will play present-day Idgie Threadgoode. The premise of the show follows Idgie’s return to Whistle Stop and her struggles to re-adjust to life in the small town.
