School Bus Drivers to Begin Testing Routes in Columbia County
A new school year begins in Columbia County on August 3, so it won’t be long before we see school buses out on the road again.
More than 300 bus drivers will be out testing their routes starting today, July 25, through this Friday, July 28.
Columbia County School District officials say bus route information and tracking school buses along their routes is now more user friendly. Parents and students can go to their school’s website, click Find My Bus Stop, type in a portion of the address and find specific route information.
Parents can also sign up for the Edulog Lite School Bus Tracker App to track buses along their routes in real time. Parents and students can set alert zones for a specific school and surrounding neighborhoods to receive notifications when their bus arrives in that area. Parents and/or legal guardians will get a school-specific district registration code, via email. Students will also be sent home with a letter containing that information on or after the first day of school. Parents will need a school-specific code to find their child’s school bus.
You can learn more about the app and find a tutorial on how to use the School Bus Tracker App at www.ccboe.net/transportation.
