Austin talks about the announcement from the Gino Rock Brantley campaign and his safety enhancement plan.

Austin: The announcement came late last night about 10:00, actually, the campaign for Gino Rock Brantley, had this to say in response to the recent surge in violent crimes that have shaken our community, Gino Rock Brantley in his campaign, announcing a critical event in the race for sheriff of Richmond County.
In response to this call for transformation, the Brantley campaign invites the media and public to a press conference where Gino Rock will unveil his top ten priorities for the first 100 days in office. This event will also include a detailed outline of his comprehensive Downtown Augusta Safety Enhancement Plan.
Oh my goodness gracious. While I was looking at this press announcement, I happened to notice the logo, which is impressive. By the way, his campaign has done a fantastic job. It says elect Geno Rock Brantley for Sheriff of Richmond County. Accessible. Active. Approachable. None of which our current sheriff has been doing since he was elected into office.
Folks, it is, an unbelievable, aggressive campaign that Gino Brantley has been waging since he made the run off. I’m not going to say that, he should have been doing this the whole time because he’s been working hard, no doubt. But they have doubled down on getting the word out on Gino Rock.
Voting again is tomorrow. And this is a pivotal, pivotal time for Augusta-Richmond County a lot of business owners downtown have gotten behind the Gino Rock campaign. I think the sheriff, his time may be about up, which would be a fantastic bit of news for this area. Stay tuned for more on this this afternoon. I’m Austin Rhodes, 95.1 FM News Talk WGAC.
