Austin: This may be one of the few really hyped up events of the political season that lives up to its billing, and certainly the importance, tonight's debate is not to be denied. You've got two former presidents debating against each other. We know the stakes. We know how close this race is nationwide. And we also know the doubts about the cognitive abilities of both men.
There's a lot of contention. The state of the world right now versus the way that one candidate thinks that it should be under his leadership. The state of the world from a man who really has been floating like a cork on the ocean, not doing an awful lot, not making a lot of affirmative moves himself to affect what's been going on in the world might mean this this clash tonight. I cannot wait. This is the Super Bowl of politics in a way that we haven't seen in quite some time.
By the way, we do want to mention what Donald Trump has done in agreeing to debate on CNN with these two particular moderators is one of the bravest political moves in recent history. I got to tell you, he had absolutely no, no prediction could have been made that he would have accepted these terms.
And it all came about because he was basically dared to take this event. So what was Trump willing to do, but not back down from the charge? And he is absolutely ready to go.
By the way, yesterday on the Austin Rhodes Show, a great conversation with Michael Whatley, the chairman of the Republican National Committee. That interview is highlighted at the Austin Rhodes Show page on Facebook. Check it out. Some great insight from the number one man in the Republican Party right now who's on the administrative side, of course, and not the election side.
Anyway, while he had some great comments and you can check that interview out right now. I'll be watching tonight with the rest of the world. The rest of the universe. Is there anyone that's avoiding this? I don't think so. And that's the comment. I'm Austin Rhodes, 95.1 FM News Talk WGAC.
