Austin talks about the Vice Presidential Debate last night and it was exactly what the GOP needed.
Transcript:
Austin:The GOP needed a good showing last night, and that’s exactly what J.D. Vance gave them in his one and only vice presidential debate against Tim Walz. The governor of Minnesota stumbled somewhat, looked a little bit lost at times, and incredibly meek as he failed to show half the command of the issues that J.D. Vance had. And again, just seemed personally uncomfortable with the entire process.
Again, this was something that very much the GOP needed. And I think the general consensus is Vance came out on top without very many people arguing with that. Now, does it mean anything in the grand scheme of the election? Probably not. I can’t imagine anyone being dug in on either candidate, that being Trump or Harris, and watching last night having some type of revelation that they were wrong on the way they originally felt.
But the bottom line, the GOP needed a good showing and J.D. Vance gave them all that. And then some. Walz really, really struggled. And again, you have to wonder what in the world Vice President Harris was thinking when she went with Walz over Shapiro from Pennsylvania. The Pennsylvania governor absolutely masterful when it came to debates.
But folks, I got to tell you, Tim Walz coming up short last night, J.D. Vance giving the GOP a much needed win and the one and only vice presidential debate. And that’s the comment. I’m Austin Rhodes, 95.1FM News Talk WGAC.
