Austin: With the Hunter Biden convictions coming down yesterday, a whole lot of folks in mainstream media had a great time pointing out the differences between how the Bidens handled their charges, and the Trumps have handled the charges in their lives. Oh, there goes a very, very definite proof here that no one is above the law and that there are consequences for your actions, and see the difference.
Folks, huge difference between what Hunter Biden was accused of doing and the ridiculous charges against Donald Trump. Donald Trump's kangaroo court charges were ridiculous and hideous, and they did not deserve to see the light of day. No doubt about that. He was set up, plain and simple, by a kangaroo court.
What Hunter Biden did was a lifelong pattern of behavior that culminated in most definitely what should have been a criminal prosecution and what should result in jail time for him. The left loves to talk about gun control and all the terrible, terrible results of our Second Amendment freedoms in this country. One of the main reasons we have the problems that we do is that we've been letting people get away with murder when it comes to breaking our gun laws. Forever. That has to stop.
Hunter Biden is a good example of how we can hold everyone accountable when they refuse to handle their Second Amendment rights correctly. But in the meantime, make no faults or equivalencies here, there is no way to compare these apples and orangutans when people try and say, well, look at the Hunter Biden charges and the way they handled them versus the Donald Trump charges.
Trump's charges were trumped up, plain and simple, brought by prosecutors who ran for political office, saying that we are going to go through every scrap of paperwork in the Trump administration and find something to get him on. That is as un-American as anything I've ever seen. The cases do not compare, and anyone who tries to do it is an idiot. Keep that in mind. And that's the comment.
