Austin talks about Tyreek Hill and his encounter with Miami police on Sunday morning.

Austin: Well, no doubt if you’ve been paying attention to the news cycle, aside from illegal immigration troubles and the big presidential debate tonight, you’ve seen the video of the Tyreek Hill encounter with Miami police the morning of the game on Sunday.
Very strange as to why he was pulled over in the first place. I don’t have any earthly idea, but I can tell you this, even though I greatly oppose the way that the police handled him, why did Tyreek Hill start off acting like a complete A-hole to the cops?
Now police have a job to do. And when they pull you over to ask you a question, the very least you can do is cooperate. Unless you are being physically assaulted in the very beginning of the conversation, roll your cotton pickin’ window down and have a rational conversation with the law enforcement officer like the adult you are supposed to be.
When you are a licensed driver, you have an agreement with the state authorities that you will cooperate with traffic enforcement officers when they ask you routine questions.
Now, Tyreek Hill showed his fanny. He acted like a fool. And unfortunately, the cops allowed his antics to get the best of them. And they used very poor judgment when they yanked him out of his car and put him on the sidewalk, handcuffing him. Absolutely ridiculous.
They knew what were dealing with. Everyone and their brother knows who Tyreek Hill is and what kind of car he drives in Miami. They knew they were dealing with him. They knew he wasn’t high. He didn’t appear to be high. Why in the world would they manhandle a guy like that? Only except the fact that they had lost their temper.
Cops cannot lose their temper in such situations. Tyreek Hill acted like a child. But the cops overreacted. And when the cops have badges and guns, they cannot overreact. What Tyreek Hill did was wrong. It was illegal. Well, illegal formation. Something along those lines. Five yards. But what the cops did, that was unsportsmanlike conduct 15 yards and ejection from the game.
I’m telling you, it’s going to be a big deal. But Tyreek Hill started it. Unfortunately, the cops and their ridiculous over the tops antics over the top antics in Miami finished it. More to come, no doubt on Sportscenter. And that’s the comment. I’m Austin Rhodes, 95.1 FM News Talk WGAC.
