Inmate Stabbed at Charles B. Webster Detention Center
The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office is investigating yet another incident of violence at the Charles B. Webster Detention Center.
A news release from the department says a male inmate was stabbed at least one time and was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
“The investigation is in its early stages and no further information is available,” according to the news release. The condition of the inmate is not known.
An inmate was stabbed multiple times at the detention center in late May, then weeks before that incident nearly a dozen inmates were arrested after a brawl that left four inmates with stab wounds and three others with injuries.
