Basketball legend Michael Jordan is doing his part to respond to the coronavirus crisis. He just opened the second Michael Jordan Family Medical Clinic to serve uninsured members of the Charlotte area.

Partnering with Novant Health, Jordan donated $7 million dollars to purchase the land and building for the first free clinic, which opened in October of last year. After seeing the need in the community for more extensive care during the COVID-19 pandemic, he opened this second facility to provide not only primary care, but also coronavirus testing & treatment.

“I’m so proud of the positive impact our clinic has had on the community so far, especially during Covid-19,” Michael says.

So far, the clinic has been able to provide 14,000 coronavirus tests for uninsured members of the community.
