Commencement Ceremonies Held This Week For Augusta University And USC Aiken Students
Commencement ceremonies are being held today and tomorrow for December 2024 graduates of Augusta University and USC Aiken students.
Augusta University’s Graduate Hooding and Commencement Ceremony is at 6 pm today at the Augusta Marriott at the Convention Center.
Keynote speaker will be Ralph D. Turner, DBA, president of Wellstar MCG Health Medical Center.
On Thursday, December 12, the Augusta University Undergraduate Commencement Ceremony will be held at 10 am, also at the Augusta Marriott at the Convention Center.
Guest speaker will be Angela Canada, the principal culinary team leader for Chick-fil-A Corporate.
The Augusta native created Chick-fil-A’s summer staple, the Peach Milkshake, about 15 years ago.
She has also created the recipes of several other popular items on the restaurant’s menu.
Commencement Ceremonies Include USC Aiken on Thursday
December graduates at the University of South Carolina Aiken will get their diplomas Thursday, December 12, at the USC Aiken Convocation Center. Doors open at 5 pm and the ceremony begins at 6 pm.
Over 300 will be recognized, including 222 undergraduate students and 84 graduate students.
This semester’s commencement will not feature a guest speaker.
Graduates will participate in the Senior Celebration Brunch Thursday at 10:30 am at the Convocation Center. The School of Education will hold its pinning ceremony at 9:30 am in the SAC Mezzanine, and the School of Nursing will host its pinning ceremony at 1 pm in the Etherredge Center.
