A suspect in a July murder case in Richmond County is no longer on the run.

The Richmond County Sheriff's Office has 40-year-old Joshua Wadley in custody for the July 2, 2024 murder of Ceon Ulmer.

Ulmer was found unresponsive in the front yard of a home in the 1800 block of Warren Street with at least one gunshot wound to his upper body.

Suspect in July Murder Case Named Quickly

Wadley was named a suspect in Ulmer's murder the same day and had been sought ever since.

"The Richmond County Sheriff's Office Crime Suppression Team along with the assistance of the U.S. Marshal's Southeastern Fugitive Task were able to locate and arrest Joshua Wadley on the 700 block of Forest Ridge Place," according to a news release.

Wadley was taken into custody at 7:32 pm Monday, January 13.

Wadley has been charged with Murder and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime.
