Four Suspects Sought in Edgefield Road Murder in North Augusta
Four suspects are being sought in connection with Wednesday’s deadly shooting in the 300 block of Edgefield Road in North Augusta.
The Aiken County Sheriffs’ Office is looking for those who are responsible for the death of 27-year-old James L. Wright Jr. He was shot at least one time just after 3:00 pm Wednesday. Deputies said his body was between two buildings when they arrived after getting the 911 call.
Investigators have released surveillance pictures of a vehicle and 4 Black male suspects that are believed to be suspects in Wright’s murder.
Four Suspects Need to be Identified
The Aiken County Sheriff’s Office says video evidence recovered from cameras in the area show a light-colored Lexus SUV turning into a paved lot next to 356 Edgefield Road. Three armed suspects got out of the Lexus, armed with guns, and shot Wright.
According to investigators, the suspects were seen getting back into the Lexus. The vehicle turned left and drove on Edgefield Road toward I-20.
The suspects should be considered arms and dangerous.
