Edgefield Road in North Augusta was the site of a deadly shooting this afternoon.
The Aiken County Sheriff's Office was called to 356 Edgefield Road at 3:14 pm.
The 911 caller reported hearing gunshots while inside a business there.
"An injured Black male was found by witnesses, laying on the ground between two buildings," according to Captain Eric Abdullah.
Coroner Darryl Ables says the victim has been identified as 27-year-old James Wright Jr. of North Augusta.
Edgefield Road Shooting is Under Investigation
Wright was pronounced dead at the scene.
No suspects have been identified, according to Abdullah.
