Homicide investigation has led to the arrest of 17-year-old Jordan Walden of Augusta in connection with the shooting death of a man in his home on Hephzibah-McBean Road.

A homicide investigation began Tuesday after a man was shot and killed in his Richmond County home.

Deputies were called just after 3 pm to the 1400 block of Hephzibah-McBean Road after a reported shooting.

"Upon arrival, deputies located an adult male victim who had been shot at least one time," according to a statement from the Richmond County Sheriff's Office.

The victim , now identified as 35-year-old Marciano Kirkland, died as a result of his injuries. An autopsy has been scheduled.

Homicide Investigation Leads to Teen's Arrest

Richmond County Investigators have announced the arrest of 17-year-old Jordan Walden of Augusta in connection with the deadly shooting.

He's in custody charged with Murder and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime.

Investigators say the incident report is still not available, so information about the shooting has not been released yet.

The investigation is still ongoing.
