Austin Welcomes The Greenbrier Lady Wolf Pack State Champions Home
It’s not often we get a new sport to talk about and even more rare for the players of that sport to go all the way with a state championship win. Greenbrier’s Lady Wolf Pack did just that this week and Austin welcomed them home Tuesday afternoon from the Mercedes Benz stadium fresh off of their championship win in girl’s flag football with the Georgia High School Association Division II title on a score of 14-6 over Lithia Springs. Flag football may be a sport that’s still growing but this championship win could do big things for recruitment all over the CSRA. The 18-1 Lady Pack clinched the win and now enjoy the celebrity status of being the first in the two state area to do so.
Parents and students were all on hand to greet the girls as they returned home victorious and Austin gave them a true hero’s welcome by playing the ultimate sports tribute song for them as they pulled into the Greenbrier parking lot: Queen’s “We are the Champions”

Austin: So I am told the girls flag football team, the brand new state champion, Wolfpack, Lady Wolfpack Greenbrier Girls flag football team, is about to turn in to the complex. They’re just off of William View Parkway. I want to salute them the way that all champions deserve to be saluted. Ladies, this is for you.

All right, parents Greenbrier, Now we get to start raise money for a state championship rings. Maybe we can get a deal since we’re picking up some for the ladies golf team already.
