DeSantis Making a Campaign Stop in North Augusta This Week
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis will be making a campaign stop in North Augusta later this week. He is one of more than a dozen people vying for the Republican nomination in the 2024 presidential race.
DeSantis is scheduled to hold a campaign event this Thursday, June 22, at the Riverview Park Activity Center on Riverview Park Drive in North Augusta.
The event is free, but you will need a ticket to attend. To register, go to www.events.rondesantis.com/e/northaugusta-sc-grd.
The event starts at 2 pm. Doors will open at 1 pm.
Thursday’s stop in North Augusta will be the second visit to the Palmetto state for DeSantis this month. On June 2, he held campaign stops in Beaufort, Lexington and Greenville.
DeSantis, who announced his plans to seek the Republican nomination for president on May 24, was reelected governor in Florida last year. He is considered to be former President Donald Trump’s biggest competition for the Republican nomination thus far.
The 2024 South Carolina Republican primary will be held February 24, 2024.
