Woman Charged with Deadly Crash in March in Richmond County
The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office has charged a local woman in connection with a deadly crash in south Augusta nearly three months ago.
Authorities say 20-year-old Lamarquez Benning of Augusta was on Peach Orchard Road near Phinizy Road March 30 when his car was hit by a vehicle that had just pulled out of a parking lot.
The driver of that vehicle, 28-year-old Tiquaya Cain of Augusta, has been charged in connection with the deadly crash. She’s been charged with Homicide by Vehicle, entering or crossing a roadway, and no seatbelt.
According to jail records, Cain was charged on June 16.
