Shooting Leaves Two Injured Outside Wheeler Road Restaurant
Two people were shot outside a restaurant on Wheeler Road this morning.
The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office says trouble began after a silver sedan pulled into the parking lot of Toasty restaurant. One occupant of the vehicle got out and got into a verbal altercation with two other people. Authorities say shots were exchanged between those involved in the altercation.
The Sheriff’s Office has confirmed the two people who were originally there were both injured. They initially fled on foot to a home in the 2800 block of Hazel Street and were then taken to a local hospital.
The other person involved in the shooting is still being sought.
