Clemson Football Player Loses 15 Year Old Sister
Bryan Bresee had a special name for his sister Ella. The Clemson football player announced Thursday that he lost his 15 year old sister that he called Ella bear. She passed away after battling brain cancer.
According to the Associated Press, Bresee made the announcement on his Instagram account.
“I know for a fact heaven has gained a beautiful angel today. Love you forever and always Ella bear,” he posted.
The Tigers defensive standout and his family didn’t have to go through the emotional ups and down alone while supporting Ella. The entire family was in Clemson the week leading up to the game against Furman University.
The Bresee family felt love from the entire team. Every Clemson player supported his sister. They wore “Ella Strong” t-shirts to show their support during the game.
Clemson coach Dabo Swinney established his “All In” culture from the very beginning. That included family.
“There’s a lot more important things than football,” Swinney said Wednesday. “He needs to focus on what he’s doing and (if) he’s ready to be back and ready to play, hey, we’ll be here. But right now, he’s right where he needs to be.”
