GOOD VIBES: Internet Rallies Around Stranger Who Tweeted, ‘I Am Not Okay’
For all of its negativity, there ARE still some people using the internet for good. Edmund O’Leary is a father of two in England. After becoming unemployed, Edmund found himself battling depression.
He recently tweeted, “”I am not ok. Feeling rock bottom. Please take a few seconds to say hello if you see this tweet. Thank you.”
His Twitter following quickly grew to over 15,000, with well-wishers from all over the world sending Edmund messages of encouragement.
So far, Edmund has gotten nearly 80,000 responses to his tweet, with some even offering to meet up for coffee and help him find a job. The internet – and the world – needs more of this!
