Man Shot And Killed On East Chapman Street Early This Morning

A man was shot and killed early this morning in Richmond County.
Deputies were called to a report of a suspicious situation at 12:52 am in the 700 block of East Chapman Street. That’s where they found an unresponsive man.
Man Shot This Morning Has Been Identified
Richmond County Coroner Mark Bowen said 41-year-old Willie Lee Gonder was shot at least one time on his property and was taken to Wellstar MCG where he died as a result of his injuries early this morning.
An autopsy has been scheduled.
Bowen said Gonder’s death has been ruled a homicide.
The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office says the investigation is ongoing and no other information is available yet.
