Richmond County Deputy Struck in Hit and Run at Augusta Mall
A Richmond County deputy escaped serious injury when he was hit by a car in the parking lot at Augusta Mall this afternoon.
The deputy, who was responding to a shoplifting incident at the mall, was hit by a vehicle in the parking lot around 3:45 p.m. The driver fled from the scene and is still being sought.
The sheriff’s office says the deputy suffered minor injuries. No other information has been released yet.
