Early Voting Starts Monday in Georgia for November Elections
The first day of early voting for the November 8 general election in Georgia begins on Monday.
Key races on the ballot include the contests for Governor, one U.S. Senate seat and each of Georgia’s congressional districts.
Monday marks a key debate between Governor Brian Kemp and his Democratic challenger Stacey Abrams. The debate, hosted by the Atlanta Press Club, will air live at 7:00 p.m. on GPB.org and can also be seen on The Atlanta Press Club Facebook page. Incumbent Senator Raphael Warnock and his Republican challenger, Herschel Walker, participated in their one and only debate Friday in Savannah.
Early voting will be available starting Monday at the Augusta Municipal Building in Richmond County. Hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. til 5 p.m. There will be two Saturdays of early voting, October 22 and October 29. Satellite sites will also be available for voting those Saturdays at the Warren Road Recreation Center, Henry Brigham Community Center, and Robert Howard Community Center. Saturday hours are 9 a.m. til 5 p.m. From October 31 through November 4, all those voting sites will be open from 8:30 a.m. til 6 p.m. There will also be one opportunity for Sunday voting, on October 30 and the Municipal Building from 11 a.m. til 4 p.m.
In Columbia County, early voting will be available in Building G-3 on Ronald Reagan Drive in Evans, and at the former Euchee Library in Grovetown. Hours are 8 a.m. til 5 p.m. Monday through Friday from October 17 through November 4. Saturday voting will be available at both locations October 22 and October 29. Those hours are 9 a.m. til 5 p.m.
