South Carolina Mother Accidentally Shot By 3-Year-Old
An upstate South Carolina mother was accidentally shot and killed by her 3-year-old child on Wednesday. According to WYFF in Greenville, Cora Lyn Bush, 33, of Spartanburg was killed after the child accessed the unsecured firearm.
The Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office released the following statement. “Although our investigation remains active, all indications are this incident was a result of the young child gaining access to an unsecured firearm, which resulted in the mother being accidentally shot and later passing away at the hospital.”
The coroner confirmed that Bush was pronounced dead at 9:45 a.m. Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Earlier this month a South Carolina mother was shot and killed near Myrtle Beach. Laura Moberly was a school teaching in Horry County. The Horry County School District had released this statment.
Horry County School District officials said they are “at a loss for words” after learning about the tragic incident.
“We lift our strongest prayers for the Moberley family and for everyone who knew them,” district officials said in a statement. “We encourage our community to keep our students and staff in their thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.”
