Acapulco Drive Shooting Reported One Day After Second Arrest in Deadly Shooting Outside Dollar General
Elijah Oliver was shot and killed one day after the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office arrested a second person in connection with a deadly shooting outside the Dollar General store on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard June 15.
Investigators said 37-year-old Creston Curry was taken into custody last week on Sherman Street and charged with the death of 28-year-old Elias Delk. Curry was also charged with armed robbery.
Delk’s body was found in the parking lot of the Dollar General in the early morning hours of June 15. Investigators said Delk had been badly beaten with fists, feet and a stick. He died as a result of his massive injuries that included broken ribs, a punctured lung and head injuries.
Curry was taken into custody with assistance from the Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force.
He has a long criminal history that includes convictions for drugs, domestic violence, burglary, obstruction of justice, and firearms violations.
The day before, Richmond County investigators arrested 36-year-old Tamiko Shynese Bolton and charged her with Delk’s murder as well.
