A second arrest has been made in connection with the death of a local man June 15 outside a Dollar General Store in Augusta.

The Richmond County Sheriff's Office was called to a report of a suspicious situation in the 1700 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

When they arrived, deputies found the body of 28-year-old Elias Delk outside the Dollar General store.

Investigators said Delk had been beaten to death.

On Thursday, Richmond County investigators arrested 36-year-old Tamiko Shynese Bolton and charged her with Delk's murder.

Second Arrest has been Made in Delk's Murder

Today, a second arrest was made in connection with Delk's death.

Authorities arrested 37-year-old Creston Curry on Sherman Street in Augusta and charged him with Murder and Armed, with the help of the Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force.

An arrest warrant says Delk had been beaten by multiple people with their fists, feet and a stick. Delk had multiple hematomas on his head, broken ribs and a punctured lung.d

An autopsy confirmed that Delk died from multiple blunt force trauma as a result of his injuries.
