Big Nude Boat Cruise Sails from Miami Next Year
The Big Nude Boat cruise is sailing from Miami in 2025 for those who can’t wait to experience “Bare-adise.”
I love to cruise. In fact, that’s my idea of the perfect vacation. Do I want to see anyone naked? I don’t even want to see myself naked. Let’s be honest though. The 11-day cruise departing from Miami on February 3 will probably sell out!
Who’s Idea was This?
The Big Nude Boat, according to Bare Necessities Tour & Travel, has chartered the 2,300 passenger Norwegian Pearl with an itinerary that includes stops in the Bahamas, Puerto Rico, St. Maarten, Dominica, Martinique and St. Lucia. The Bare Necessities Tour & Travel website says there will be sunny nude beach days at Norwegian Cruise Line’s private island. You can snorkel with sea turtles and lots of fish, who probably don’t want to see you naked either!
What’s This Going to Cost?
Cabin prices, based on double occupancy, start at $2,000 and go as high as $33,155 if you want to treat yourself to a three-bedroom villa.
There Are a Few Rules
It goes without saying, you don’t need to pack much for this ship. That being said, there are times you will be required to wear clothing:
- Clothes must be worn while inside the dining rooms, though there will be a large buffet area for nude outdoor dining
- You must put a towel down before sitting in the stateroom, pool deck and buffet area when “bare bottomed or in a thong or G-string”
- Fondling or inappropriate touching is not allowed
- Being nude in front of other ships in port is also not allowed
- Lingerie and “fetish wear” will not be permitted
- No taking pictures or videos of other passengers without their consent
A statement from Bare Necessities on their website says, “Our mission is to provide relaxing, entertaining and health-conscious vacation opportunities that offer non-threatening, natural environments where the appreciation, wonder and compatibility of nature and the unadorned human form can occur.”
Here’s the best reminder from Bare Necessities: “Remember to pack a swimsuit. Not all excursions are clothing optional.”
Well, I love Norwegian Cruise Line. It’s one my favorites. In fact, the last cruise I took was on Norwegian Cruise Line in the fall of 2023. We’re talking about doing another one in the near future. I think I will stick to my usual personal problem of overpacking, not using half of what I bring, and only finding sunburns in the usual places.
As for the staff of the Norwegian Pearl for the Big Nude Boat cruise, I sincerely hope they get hazardous duty pay. Maybe even treatment later for PTSD. Let’s face it, most of the passengers won’t look like Bo Derek with or without a bathing suit.
To each his own. I guess beauty is in the “naked eye” of the beholder.
