Austin talks about President Trump at the town hall meeting in Iowa.

AUSTIN: If you did not catch the live interview town hall meeting with President Trump last night out of Iowa, I urge you to look that up. If you’re a follower or a fan of the president, you’re going to be, I don’t want to say, relieved. You’re going to be kind of happy with his performance last night.
Again, he was on and has no signs. It showed very few signs of any of the troublesome ego and, well, let’s just say rambling, that sometimes Donald Trump can can engage in enemies on the campaign trail. He was a little bit unfocused, actually. He was a lot unfocused during the 2020 election cycle, and it seems like now he has honed his campaigning and communication skills down to a, uh, well, a rather perfected science. So let’s just leave it that way.
He recognizes the damage that President Biden in his policies want to bring to this country and to the American way of life. And he’s just as flat out against it as he can possibly be. He was going he is going to be running on. The damage has been done to the country over the last four years. Biden is going to run on Trump being a bad guy. That’s all he’s got.
And I’m hoping common sense Americans are going to look at their bank accounts. They’re going to look at their children’s future. They’re going to look at what Joe Biden did the first day on the job, which is make gasoline harder to pay for in this country, and immigration, illegal immigration, much easier for those who want to get in. And Trump is all about reversing both of those.
This is going to be a very interesting race, going to be far less. Well, let me back up. I think it could be far closer than anybody thinks. Hold on to your hats. A barn burner is just ahead. And that’s the comment, I’m Austin Rhodes, AM 580/95.1 FM News Talk WGAC.
