Deadly Crash Reported on Gordon Highway Near Fort Eisenhower
A deadly crash was reported this morning near the intersection of Gordon Highway and Jimmy Dyess Parkway.
The multi-vehicle crash shut down the outbound lanes of Fort Eisenhower while emergency crews were on the scene.
Deadly Crash the First of 2025 in Richmond County
Richmond County Coroner Mark Bowen says 22-year-old David Houck, who was stationed at Fort Eisenhower, was leaving the post and attempting to cross Gordon Highway when his vehicle was hit by an eastbound vehicle.
Houck was taken to Wellstar MCG where he was pronounced dead at 8:54 am.
An autopsy has been scheduled.
