AUSTIN: It’s that time of year and we’re getting a lot of gifts exchanged. I know in your family you’re probably doing the same thing. Over the course of the weekend, we had a lot of family in the house, our annual Christmas get together, and it was a lot of fun, a lot of friends, a lot of family, a lot of food. My goodness gracious. I was thanked for a gesture that I made a couple of years ago that it struck me today. Might be a great suggestion for some of you folks out there looking for a last minute Christmas gift.
We all carry pictures with us on our phone these days. But how many of us have elderly friends or relatives or maybe even young friends or relatives that don’t have any framed photographs much in their lives? Have you downloaded a Walgreens app or even I think Walmart has them as well that allows you to instantaneously transfer your online or your telephone stored photographs into easily printed and framed photographs? I mean, instantaneously, you can have them mailed to you. You can go pick them up at Walgreens.
I do it on a regular occasion myself. And the quality of these pictures are far greater than they’ve ever been in the past. You can enhance them. There are kind of special effects that you can add to them. So for the person in your life that has everything, do they have a good photograph of you? Do extended members of your extended family have copies of the photographs of your grandparents that you’ve got scanned and stored in your phone?
I’m telling you, it’s a great, great way to give a perfect gift that doesn’t cost a lot of money. And again, something no one else is going to be giving them. Pretty cool idea, huh? Think about it. Walgreens, Wal Mart are two companies I don’t know that have great and very handy apps. Again, very easy, very affordable. Just a little tip from me to you. Merry Christmas. And that’s the comment, with a little helpful hint. I’m Austin Rhodes, AM 580/95.1 FM News Talk WGAC.
