Last week, there was some controversy in Columbia County.  The Evans High School Salutatorian was almost stripped of that status.  Courtlyn Myers was on track to be the salutatorian, but there was a surprise when an underclassman who was graduating early threatened that position.

Courtlyn’s dad, Corey Myers, took action and attended the school board meeting on Tuesday evening.  In the end, the district decided there was enough room for two salutatorians at Evans High School.

Austin Rhodes had a chance to sit down with Corey and Courtlyn and talk about the whole ordeal.
