Suspects Sought in Shooting in Augusta and Stabbing in Gloverville
Richmond County authorities are investigating an overnight shooting in south Augusta. Deputies were called to the 2100 block of Reedale Avenue after a house was hit by gunfire. Investigators say a male victim in the home was struck at least one time and is undergoing treatment. The victim’s name and condition have not been released and there’s been no information about a possible suspect.
At 12:38 this morning, Aiken County deputies were sent to the 100 block of Carline Road in Gloverville to a report of a stabbing. Once inside, deputies found a male victim with a puncture wound to the stomach. He is undergoing treatment for what are believed to be non life-threatening injuries.
Investigators say the suspect is believed to be a white male who was seen leaving the area in a white pickup truck. So far, no other information has been released.
