10 Worthless Car Features
So do you think there are worthless features on your car?
So I got my car about 1o months ago. A Honda Accord HYBRID. Because it’s a hybrid, it came with just about every available “bell & whistle”. As a matter of fact, just last week I realized for the first time that it came with “remote start” capabilities. Who knew? Well, I guess the manual did.
I ran across this article the other day, talking about the 10 car features that are for the most part, worthless, yet we all want them. I have no idea if I’ll ever use the remote start, but I’ve got it if I need it.
Automatic Headlights
One of the features mentioned that I really like is automatic headlights. The article points to the fact that in some cases the sensors that detect the light can still in some cases, like daytime fog or heavy rain still detect enough light to prevent the automatic lights from activating. I have to admit, 10 months into the life of my car, I have yet to run into this issue. The issue I do run into is what happens when I take the car in for service. The dealership turns the function off. If I don’t remember to turn it back on, it’ll be an issue that first early morning.
Keyless Entry
I’ll tell you one more feature, keyless entry. I LOVE keyless entry! I love the fact that I don’t have to go digging for keys and just touching the door handle unlocks the doors. Now, I’m not one that leaves my fob everywhere. It’s always in my pocket, just as if it were the keys I needed. I don’t leave it in the car. I will say this, I have on a couple of occasions, left it in my golf bag when putting it back in the trunk and the car will alert me that the car is closed, especially the trunk and I don’t have the fob.
These are just a couple of the things the article says are worthless features, but we want everyone of them. To see the entire list, click here.
