The Braves may have lost, but the Freeze wins again!
I haven’t been to a Braves games since they started playing at Truist Park, but I have the give their promotional staff an A+ for some of the promotions over the last few years.
Whoever came up with “Beat The Freeze” should get a raise. Here’s how it works:
A fan is chosen to run from the 3rd base foul line around the warning track to the 1st base foul line. The goal is to beat “The Freeze”, a high-level sprinter, wearing a blue body suit. The chosen fan gets a head start in hopes of making a name for him or herself.
Last night’s contest is buzzing on social media, and I feel back for this fan. This guy appears to pull a hamstring in his attempt at a shot at fame.
