Some Fans Will Be Allowed at UGA Football Games
Great news for UGA football fans. Officials announced today fans will be allowed at the four home games under the SEC’s revised schedule, but at a reduced capacity.
School officials in Athens said today they will allow 20 to 25 percent of Sanford Stadium’s normal capacity, which amounts to anywhere from 18,550 to 23,180 fans per game. The stadium seats 92,746.
With 58,000 season tickets sold each year, officials say donors will have to opt in or out to get single game tickets. Those that opt out will still be eligible to renew their season tickets next year.
Tickets will go in blocks of four and will be $150 per ticket, which is $75 for the ticket and $75 for the Hartman Fund contribution requirement.
School officials haven’t determined whether tailgating will be permitted. They say they will be closely monitoring the CDC and will adhere to state and local guidelines before rendering a decision.
