Austin talks about anti-Israeli protests in schools.

Austin:If you allow idiots to act like maniacs without repercussions, the bad behavior will escalate every single time. Who in the world, in academia, or in administration of academia, thought that just sitting back and allowing these anti-Israeli protests to go on all over the country was a good idea?
Number one, it’s incredibly anti-Semitic. Number two, well, it’s physically disruptive. Number three, it’s causing property damage. Why not handle these protesters the way that you would handle any other law breaker in a public school, for instance, right here in Columbia County. You had somebody protesting or disrupting class or destroying property on campus. You arrest them. And oh, by the way, you kick them out of school at the same time.
Now, these little, scholars that are causing all the problems and by the way, including some of their own faculty members at some of these schools need to be singled out and made to be held and completely held responsible for the damage that they’re doing. No doubt about that. But when it gets right down to it, just let them know, if you do not want to conduct your life here as a student, then leave. It’s as simple as that.
Trust me, you’re going to be sending a message to other students around the country that, number one, you’re serious about campus security. And number two, while there is a place for civil disagreement, there is no place for civil disobedience on a college campus. Not over political issues like we’re dealing with here. If it were a life or death issue involving personal safety on campus, perhaps. But we’re debating politics in the Middle East here on a campus in America.
Keep your business legal. Keep it non-disruptive. Keep it non-destructive. And if you can’t do that, go to jail and get out of the school. That’s how they ought to take it, in my humble opinion. And that’s the comment, I’m Austin Rhodes, News Talk WGAC.
