Man Wanted For Questioning in Augusta Murder Case
A man is wanted for questioning in the death of a man whose body was found in Augusta on Halloween.
The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office has released surveillance pictures of the man they hope someone can identify.
Investigators say 59-year-old Michael Whitfield was found dead in Elliott Park in the 2000 block of Lumpkin Road around 7:15 am on October 31.
Richmond County Coroner Mark Bowen said the cause of Whitfield’s death was blunt force trauma.
