The Georgia Bureau of Investigation was called to the scene of a deadly shooting Saturday night in Thomson.
McDuffie County authorities got a 911 call around 11:15 pm about a man who was found unconscious in a home in the 400 block of Second Street in Thomson. Once inside, investigators say they found the body of 47-year-old Ricky Huff of Thomson. He had been shot at least one time. He was pronounced dead at Piedmont-McDuffie Hospital. An autopsy has been scheduled to be performed at the GBI crime lab in Decatur.
