Burke County burglary suspect wanted for store break-in May 26

A Burke County burglary suspect is wanted in connection with a break-in May 26 in Waynesboro.

Waynesboro Police responded to an alarm at Fleetwood Coins and Jewelry at 117 W. 6th Street at 2:38 am.

Police said they saw an unknown male running from the building when they arrived. Once inside, they discovered the business had been burglarized.

The suspect was last seen running toward the 500 block of Shadrack Street.

Investigators say they were able to retrieve surveillance pictures of the suspect entering the Golden Pantry Gas Station in the 500 block of Liberty Street shortly after the burglary.

Now, officials are asking for the public's help in identifying him.
