Aiken Man Killed in Motorcycle Accident
Shooting near Lake Olmstead leaves 1 dead and 1 injured
A motorcycle accident last night claimed the life of an Aiken County man.
Aiken County Coroner Darryl Ables says 62-year-old Willie J. Thomas lost control of the vehicle in the 400 block of Croft Mill Road near Edgefield Highway. The motorcycle veered off the right side of the road, ejecting Thomas. He died at the scene as a result of blunt force injuries.
A press release from Ables says the Coroner’s office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol are continuing with the investigation. Toxicology test results are pending.
