Splat Party Ends in Deadly Shooting in Richmond County
Richmond County Teen Shot and Killed Thursday on Old McDuffie Road
A 15-year-old Richmond County teenager is dead and authorities are searching for the killer.
Investigators say Zaire Person was shot in the 3400 block of Old McDuffie Road Thursday night. He died a short time later at Augusta University Medical Center.
A statement from the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office today says, “Investigators learned there was a large Splat Party involving juveniles that took place at several locations in the Augusta area and ended on Old McDuffie Road.”
Anyone with information related to the incident is asked to call the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office at 706-821-1080. Callers can remain anonymous.
