Woman’s Body Found in Local Burning Building Last Year Identified
A woman’s body was found in an abandoned building that caught fire on Walton Way in November 2022. Richmond County Coroner Mark Bowen says her identity is finally known.
Authorities identified the body as 35-year-old Stephanie Wilson through DNA testing. Her body was found when fire destroyed the former Auto Money Title Pawn building.
Wilson’s badly burned body was found on the second floor near the rear exit, according to fire officials, but they weren’t able to positive identify her until recent test results were received.
