Piedmont Named One of America’s Greatest Workplaces for Women
A survey just published by Newsweek and Plant-A Group has revealed Piedmont is one of America’s Greatest Workplaces for Women in 2023.
University Hospital became Piedmont Augusta last year in a $1 billion partnership that involves hospitals from Atlanta to Athens, Columbus and Macon. Piedmont Healthcare acquired University Hospital, which included a 10-year, $20 million investment in community health. University Hospital signs were changed to Piedmont Augusta, but it had little to no effect on the employment of University Hospital employees.
Companies that employ 1,000 or more and identified the top 600 companies in the United States for Women were included in the 2023 Greatest Workplace for Women survey.
Piedmont CEO Kevin Brown said, “Our people are our greatest asset. You will come to Piedmont for the job, but you will stay for the people that you work with.”
Piedmont Executive Director of Diversity and Inclusion, Jo Anne Hill, reported that nearly 80% of Piedmont’s workforce is made up of women.
“Piedmont is committed to diversity, equity and inclusion, and we are proud to be recognized as one of America’s Greatest Workplaces for Women this year,” said Hill.
