Drug Bust in Richmond County Nets Four Arrests
Four people were taken into custody Thursday after the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division executed search warrants at two homes in the county.
One warrant was served at 2229 Hollis Road and the other at 2242 Sullivan Road. Investigators seized 1.79 kilograms of Cocaine, 20 grams of Marijuana, 1 gram of MDMA (Methylenedioxymethamphetamine) 1.1 grams of Psilocybin mushrooms, 8 firearms, 1 vehicle, and $17,244.00 in cash.
Thirty-two-year-old Jovel Molock of Augusta faces multiple charges including Trafficking in Cocaine, Unlawful Street Gang Activity, multiple weapons charges, Simple Battery and Criminal Trespass. Nineteen-year-old Jordan Curtis of Augusta was charged with Unlawful Street Gang Activity, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Distribute, and Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute. Nineteen-year-old Tarrell Gilbert was charged with Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Distribute, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, and Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Distribute within 1000′ of a Park or Public Housing. Nineteen-year-old Myanna Cantrell of Augusta was charged with Trafficking in Cocaine.
Investigators say they expect additional charges in the case; both State and Federal indictments are also expected.
