Downed Power Lines Causes Road Block at Belair and Columbia Roads

A dump truck hit a power pole around 8:00 this morning, causing utilities lines to fall across the road at Belair and Columbia Roads in Columbia County.
The roadway is blocked from the intersection of Belair and Columbia Roads to Oakley Pirkle Road.
The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office has set up a detour that temporarily routes traffic from Columbia Road to South Old Belair Road and onto Oakley Pirkle. No injuries were reported. It’s not known how long the detour will be in place.
