North Augusta Woman Sought in Deadly Hit-And-Run in Florida
A North Augusta woman is still being sought in connection with a deadly hit-and-run in Florida last weekend.
The search for 28-year-old Janae Shaniece Lewis continues.
Police say she is the registered driver of the vehicle that struck Silvio Ortega Martinez as he tried to cross Pembroke Road in Miramar, Florida early Sunday morning.
The white Chevrolet Malibu that struck him has been recovered, but the search for Lewis continues.
Authorities believe she is now driving a silver Chevrolet Malibu with a Georgia tag, XJH246. Lewis was last seen in the Augusta area, according to police.
