An Augusta woman has been charged in connection with the shooting death of a local man more than three years ago.
Rommie Williams was found shot to death in a home in the 1700 block of Essie McIntyre Boulevard on February 18, 2019. Authorities say the body was discovered by his roommate.
Yesterday, Richmond County authorities arrested 40-year-old Venus Latrice Shelton of Augusta in connection with Williams’ death. She is in custody charged with Murder and Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Crime.
