I-20 Rest Areas to Close Briefly
The Georgia Department of Transportation will be closing both I-20 Columbia County rest areas and the Augusta Welcome Center briefly, starting Tuesday, April 20.
The facilities will be closed while crews relocate a sewer main line connected with the ongoing I-20 Appling/Harlem exit reconstruction project.
The Welcome Center will re-open on Wednesday, April 21 while the two rest areas will be open again on April 22.
