Old Waynesboro Road Wreck Leaves One Dead, One Critically Injured: Victim’s Identity Released
Old Waynesboro Road was the site of a fatal accident overnight in Richmond County.
The Sheriff’s Office was called to the 4500 block of Old Waynesboro Road to a report of a single vehicle accident with injuries.
Authorities say the vehicle, which was headed south on Old Waynesboro Road, left the roadway and crashed.
Old Waynesboro Road Wreck is Under Investigation
Richmond County Coroner Mark Bowen said 31-year-old Cody Lee Arrington of Augusta was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene.
The other occupant of the vehicle was taken to Wellstar MCG with life-threatening injuries.
The Sheriff’s Office says the accident is under investigation. No other information has been released yet.
