The Aiken County Sheriff's Office says deputies were called to the home in the 200 block of Woodfield Road after a neighbor had made the discovery.

"The Aiken County Sheriff's Office was notified of the discovery of the human remains behind a residence by a neighbor performing a well-being check. The Aiken County Coroner's Office arrived on scene at approximately 8:40 p.m. and confirmed the discovery," according to Eric J. Ramey, Chief Deputy Coroner at the Aiken County Sheriff's Office.
